Mar. ’24. face.
FACE.
first instance of identity. first essence of idea. mimetic interpretations begin with an instance,
a bare instance of impression, an immediate gauge of propinquity between two points-
- observer (listener),
- observed (image),
and from this instance, art is established at the singular breath of intention (invention), intention by
replicating,
translating,
mangling,
etc.
everything is determined as a
face.
we are first confronted in the world by a face, (first by an actual face, then by the idea of the face we supplant on everything),
and we invent faces when we measure our own daily representations to our own ability of invention- to the point that a small
idiosyncratic twitch of a loved ones’ fingers suddenly reveals to us innate intention. a face is as real as skin yet completely projected by our own ideas.
intention is a distinction, in the same façade of the self-replicating innate need for novelty… almost confirming that any production, piece, or work of a human being is merely an attempt to recreate a face.
/
faces are synecdoches/pure integration of measurement of gesture; gesticology.
